Excerpt:

Mason and Geoffrey barged in, sending the door crashing to the wall. I instantly let go of her lip and felt the loss of its warmth.
“For fuck’s sake, Bastian.” Mason breathed heavily. “Why the hell didn’t you wait for me?” He glared at me and then I saw his eyes grow wide when he saw her at my table.
A pang of jealousy hit me with such force that I put myself in front of him obstructing her from his view.
“Don’t look at her,” I seethed.
“Whoa, calm down, man,” he said with a smirk.
“I’m sorry, Mason.” I tried to compose myself. What the fuck was that? I had never once talked to him like that, like I meant to hurt him.
I could feel Geoffrey’s stare. He didn’t say a word. I knew what he was thinking though; I knew why he was watching me closely.
“It’s cool, man, but,” he pointed at the unconscious man lying on the ground, “What’s not cool is that I didn’t get a chance with that piece of shit. Is he dead?” he asked.
“No, I just knocked him out cold. I still have unfinished business with him.” I turned to look at him, anger still present.
“What now?” Geoffrey finally asked.
“Put him in the chair and tie him up, I’ll come back to him in a few,” I answered.
“What are you going to do?” Geoffrey asked with a hint of worry in his voice.
“I’m taking her out of here, to my suite. She needs medical attention,” I replied, evidence of my own worry present in my voice.
“I could do that if you’d rather stay here and take care of him now,” Geoffrey offered.
“No.” I couldn’t stomach anyone but me touching her, not even Geoffrey. “It’s fine, I’ll take her to my suite. You can come with me if you like, make sure no one sees her and call the doctor once we get there.”
“Yes, I think it’s best. Mason can handle him by himself.” Geoffrey turned and looked at Mason. He wasn’t asking, he was ordering him to do what he said.
“Of course I can, who do you think you’re talking to?” Mason tried to lighten the mood. Something he always had to do while being around me.
I walked back to her. She was still out so I got rid of her restraints as gently as I could, the adrenaline was still running through my veins and I didn’t want to hurt her.
Did I?
My mind went back to the moment I first saw her. I knew something was wrong. What I didn’t…couldn’t admit, was that something was wrong with me, again.
I fought so hard not to let this feeling crawl its way back to the surface, but I was losing the battle already because while she lay there, terrified and completely helpless, I couldn’t decide what I wanted more.
To fuck her or to kill her.

A taste of what's in store in Maid for the South Pole:

A taste of what's in store in Maid for the South Pole:

Ice, ice and more ice unfolded below, until the blocky buildings of Davis Station came into view, sitting on the only patch of rock in a sea of white. Eric brought the helicopter down behind the buildings, beside what he said was a lake and the station's water supply.

Jean began to help Eric unload his gear, but Eric waved him away.

"They heard us arrive, and I radioed ahead to tell them I have their special Christmas supplies. Give it five minutes and I'll have more volunteers than I know what to do with, helping me unload. Go report to the station leader for your accommodation assignment before he knocks off for the day."

Armed with Eric's directions to the station leader's office, Jean headed inside, out of the cold. He found the office occupied by a woman – definitely not a he. Cautiously, Jean knocked on the open door. "Hey, I'm looking for the station leader?"

She gave a tired wave. "That's me, for my sins. Who'd have believed we could have a water shortage while we're surrounded by ice? Even with shorter showers, it only stretches so far. I'm Ali, by the way." She extended her hand across the desk.

Jean shook it. "Jean Pennant, climate change biologist from the University of Washington. Here to finish my PhD research out at Heard Island."

Ali stared. "Jean? Spelled J-E-A-N? We all thought you were a woman."

Jean made a show of patting down his chest, then his groin. "No, definitely not a woman." He grinned. "If it makes you feel better, I was told the station leader here was a man. I guess it's hard to tell when we're all dressed alike outside."

"True." Ali reached for a folder on her desk and cast her eyes down on the contents. "You're here for your accommodation assignment, yes? It looks like you're in luck. You're housed with the summer Met team in SAM, the Summer Accommodation Module." She pulled a page out of the back of the folder and marked it with two crosses. "You're here. Your sleeping quarters are here." She tapped the paper with her pen. "That's Living Quarters, where we do pretty much everything else except work and sleep."

"Sounds pretty simple," Jean said, craning his neck to look at the map.

"Here." Ali handed it to him. "I'll let you get settled in today. Tomorrow, one of the training officers will take you through all our station procedures, so you know what's what. They'll schedule you in for the next round of survival training, too, before you go on your expedition. Have fun."

That sounded like a dismissal to Jean, so he thanked her and headed out.

His boots crunched on the grey gravel road as he trudged up to his temporary home, a big, red barn of a place. As long as it was warm inside, he didn't care what it looked like. The sleeping quarters were easy to identify because they had people's names on the doors. Two to a room. He hoped his new roommate didn't snore, like the geologists he'd shared with on Heard Island last year. If he did, Jean would requisition some earplugs from Stores tomorrow.

Just like on the map, his room was right at the end of a corridor. Jean knocked cautiously, but he received no response from inside, so he cracked the door open. Light flooded through the window, revealing an empty room. Empty of people, at least, seeing as his roommate had already claimed the top bunk and half of the available storage space. A closed laptop sat on the desk, beside a box of tampons.

Jean's bag thumped to the floor. He knew a few marine biologists who used tampons in their waterproof camera housings to absorb moisture, but Ali had said he was rooming with a meteorologist, not a marine biologist or a photographer. An amateur photographer, maybe?

Jean checked the door. His name was definitely on it, below one that looked vaguely familiar: Audra Zujute. Where had he heard that before?

An image of Doug came to mind. That was right. Doug had talked about someone called Audra. It wasn't exactly a common name, so it was probably the same woman Doug said had nursed him aboard the icebreaker last year. Probably best to take the crewman's advice and thank her, then, in case she remembered him later and thought he was an ungrateful asshole. Maybe if he saw her, it might jog his memory of the days aboard the ship. Hey, it was worth a shot.

In the meantime, he decided to check his email, seeing as Ali had given him the station's wi-fi password. Perhaps Louis had sent through some new corrections on the chapters Jean had emailed him from McMurdo. Sure enough, he had – enough to keep Jean busy for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

He lost track of time, reading comment after comment and making the required changes. The light coming through the window faded to darkness without Jean taking his eyes off his tablet.

It wasn't until the door handle rattled that Jean's thoughts strayed from anything that involved penguins. He leaped to his feet, smoothing down his shirt. The last time she'd seen him, he'd been badly injured and probably incoherent. He wanted to make a better impression this time.

As the door swung open, Jean marched forward, sticking his hand out. "Hi, I'm Jean-Pierre, your new roommate. You must be Audra. I believe I owe you for what you did on the Aurora Australis last year."

Her already large eyes widened as her face paled. "Shit," she said, before she turned on her heel and strode off

Review:
Scoring Her in the end of the Bad Boy Billionaires series.  If you haven't read the previous book, then you really need to read them.    I read the previous book and when I saw this one was the last in the series I was a little sad.   This one is perfect.  I love all the characters.   In this one we get POVs from all of them.   It's a great, fun, and sexy read.    No one likes to say goodbye so it was great to read at the end that these characters will make appearances in other books.

EXCERPT:
HELENA
My cheeks warm with embarrassment at the people waiting behind me. A female employee helps me unclasp the diamond bracelet and matching necklace. The crown though is impossible to get out of my princess ’do.
“Can I wear it through the security portal?” I ask, broken shoes in one hand.
“No, I’m sorry. It will buzz,” the security person explains. “The portal is created to alert us to most metals besides gold and silver.”
I can’t tell him I wear gold. Real, irreplaceable, century-old heirlooms. He wouldn’t believe me anyway. “If it’s okay with you, I’d like to try.”
He lifts his arms in subtle agreement, a have-it-your-way, and I enter the booth, walk out without incident. Employees from two checkpoints stare at me while I pick my stuff off the band. I shake my head, slowly at first, but then I have nothing to say, no witty comeback, and my flight instinct kicks in. I get up on my toes so I don’t stumble in the too-long skirt and stride as slowly as I can into the transit hall.
I need to not stress the hell out. Just, I wish someone was with me to talk me down. I could call Elfriede. I don’t have my phone. I need a new phone. God, how pathetic am I?
Once I’m sure security isn’t following, I haul butt down the corridor. Tiles are cold under bare feet, it turns out. I’d step into my shoes again, but one of them is broken. Would people stare less if I limped and my heels creak-clacked against the floor?
A high-end fashion store beams in the distance. “We’ll help you blend in. Hurry, hurry,” it calls. I run. Benches are in the way. I’m getting clumsy. I’m panicking. Suddenly, a potted palm tree appears out of nowhere, half-blocking my view of the Promised Land, and my torso doubles around it as I slam to the ground.
I let out an ungraceful oomph. And realize I’m not on the ground after all. No, there’s an arm around me, and miraculously I’m on my feet, wobbly but sort of erect.
“You all right?” an American accent asks.
“I was going to Cloe’s over there,” I explain in German, pointing feebly and not feeling as regal as I’ve been taught. Dark eyebrows contract from within a tanned face above me.
“Sorry?” His arm is still strong around me, really freaking strong, and somehow I’ve got a death grip around it while trying to pry him off.
I translate the same stupid sentence to English. “I was going to Cloe’s. It’s over there.”
His brows are perfectly thick or thin and their arcs are so perfectly perfect they look like they’ve been combed, but then the furrow between them smoothens and I discover his eyes.
Oh.
