I loved this one. The Replacement War can be read as a standalone.
If you have been following Lisa's MFB books then you know Kane has left
the band. This one is the band looking for his replacement. MFB is
making their search for a new bassist a reality show competition. I
was excited for this then we meet Gage and Lexi and I felt for both
character and was like oh no they both need the job and how is one
getting it over the other going the effect them. Lexi is a sweet
musician from Nashville. She's stuck in a rut with her current band. She jumps at the opportunity to audition for MFB. Gage is a from Vegas and is in a Motley Crue cover band. His musician career isn't going where he wants it to go either.
I actually put the book down fairly earlier because I was having
anxiety for the characters. I knew it would work out somehow but I
didn't know if was ready to deal with the roller coaster of their
story. Of course after a brief regroup, I jump back into the story.
The opportunity is huge for both. They have a great connection and
chemistry but when the competition starts they are both not to win.4 1/2 Stars!!
