It’s another season of Renegade baseball and, as they say, the boys are back in town. All except for all-star pitcher, Hawk Sinclair, who has returned to his hometown and back to the ranch he grew up on to rehab after shoulder surgery. Real estate agent, Bellamy Patrick, feels like she’s failing at being a single mom. Her son is having a hard time fitting in and she’s hoping that playing baseball will be the answer. When he doesn’t make the team, she’s willing to do anything to help him... except that! And that’s exactly what the little league coach expects. When Hawk’s asked to coach a team of misfit kids, he balks...until he sees how the program is run and how boys are left out. That’s when he knows he has no choice but to do the right thing and turn these boys into the players he knows they can be.

Review by Gia:
Hawk is book four in the The Boys of Summer series.  It can be read as a standalone.  It's told in the dual POV of Bellamy and Hawk.  This one started off a bit slow for me and it took a little bit for me to get hooked in.
Hawk is a star pitcher that has suffered and injury.  He's back in his hometown to rehab and rest.  His whole life is baseball and he's struggling with his injury.  He gets talked into coaching youth baseball.   Hawk's a good guy.  Even though he's really good baseballs player, he not cocky at all.
Bellamy is a single mom with an ex that's kind of a jerk.  She's a real estate agent and works hard.  Her son wants to play baseball but he keeps getting railroaded until Hawk comes to town and starts coaching.  When Bellamy meets Hawk she doesn't know he's a pro baseball player which makes their story so much better.  These two are cute together and they have a great story.
4 Stars!
