Love
has no place here.
She
washed up on an island where the beasts are more likely to kill her
than the waves battering against the rocks. Edrei’s rescuer,
Daygen, is one of twelve consorts off limits to anyone but the
terrifying Queen of Pyrrhus. Brighid will stop at nothing to get what
she wants.
Betrayed
by an angry brother and a jealous queen, Edrei's life hangs in the
balance. Brighid will force Daygen’s hand one way or the other.
After all, he owes her. And she will come to collect on his debt.

Interview With Clair Cunningham:
- Can you tell us a little about your book?Forbidden Dragon is about a girl, Edrei, who finds herself on an island full of dragons. She has lost everything and is now a slave working in the palace as well as keeping the temple. One of the Queen’s consorts becomes enamored with her and is convinced that Hestia brought her to their island for a reason. Because the Queen and this dragon’s twin brother are both jealous, he and Edrei experience a great deal of betrayal. Ultimately, he will have to make a choice about what is more important to him: her life or his freedom.
- What inspires you to write?Sometimes it feels like nothing inspires me. And on days like that, I find that I either have to step away and relax some because I’m pushing myself too hard, or I think about the story line. Mulling it over tends to bring sparks of creativity to my process.
- Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?Mornings are usually the best, but I have been known to edit at all hours of the day and night.
