Winning Ace: A Winning Ace Novel (Book 1) by Tracie Delaney
Does junior reporter Tally McKenzie want the story?
Or the man?
Because she can't have both.
When the opportunity arises for Tally to meet tennis ace Cash Gallagher, she grabs it with both hands. Desperate to advance her career, she hides her true identity from the celebrity.
After the normally private Cash divulges personal information, Tally seizes her chance and writes an inflammatory article. Incensed, Cash confronts her, but the darling of centre court gets more than he bargained for when he finds himself passionately drawn to the woman he should detest.
Yet Cash is a man with secrets that could destroy his career. Dare he take the risk a real relationship will bring, or is the cost too great, even for his perfect match?

About Tracie Delaney:
Tracie Delaney is the author of the Winning Ace series. She loves nothing more than immersing herself in a good
romance, although she sometimes, rather cheekily, makes her characters wait for
their HEA.
When she isn’t writing or sitting around
with her head stuck in a book, she can often be found watching The Walking
Dead, Game of Thrones or any tennis match involving Roger Federer. Her greatest
fear is running out of coffee.
Tracie studied accountancy, gaining her
qualification in 2001. Her maths teacher would no doubt be stunned by this
revelation considering Tracie could barely add two plus two at high school.
Tracie lives in the North West of England
with her amazingly supportive husband. They both share a love of dogs, travel
and wine.
Tracie loves to hear from readers. She can be contacted through the

Interview With Tracie Delaney:
- Can you tell us a little about your book?
I’ve written (and read) forever, but I started to take it seriously about six years ago. I wrote a full length novel, but recognised that I needed help - it was far from the finished article. I worked with a mentor for almost four years and through that time, I began to write Winning Ace
- When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I work full time so I get up at 5.30 am and do all my writing ‘admin’ which can be anything from reply to any reader contact, checking on my advertisements, writing new ads or drafting newsletters. I set off for work at 7am. I try to get about 1000 words written during my lunch break and then when I return home around 6 in the evening, I write a little more. My target is between 2 and 3k words per day.
- What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?
Yes, my study. I converted my garage about two years ago (my husband is still in mourning for the loss of his beloved garage), but I love it. It’s good to be able to shut the door and focus.
- Do you have a favorite spot to write?
No. I have tried it, but I find it much more difficult to concentrate so I work in complete silence
- Do you listen to music while you write?
I once followed Princess Beatrice into the ladies toilet at the O2 arena in London! Not sure if that’s what you were looking for, but that always makes me chuckle.
- What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
The ability to transport myself instantly to wherever I needed to be. I have a horrible commute to work so just think of how much extra writing time I’d have if I could instantaneously be there :-)
- If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
The Winning Ace series is finished and the last two books are currently going through edits. I’m halfway through a standalone novel which I’m planning to release in March 2018 and then I’m moving on to a new four-book series about four brothers (each brother will get their own book). They look like the perfect family on the outside, but there are a lot of secrets, bitterness and betrayal running beneath the surface. I’m really excited about starting it.
What are writing projects are you currently working on?
Love Delaney's stories. Love them.

ReplyDeleteI love finding new authors to read, so I was so excited when I came across Winning Ace by Ms. Delaney. The writing was fresh, and the characters were well developed. The chemistry between Cash and Tally sizzled of the pages. Looking forward to more stories by Tracie in the future!
