How to Tame a Beast in Seven Days is book one in The Embraced
series. After reading this one I'm totally hooked on the series and
can't wait to read the next one. Even though I'm hooked on it being a
series, it can be read as a standalone.
It took me a little bit
to get into the story. It's set in a fantasy world and I first I was a
little worried that I wouldn't understand things but I swept away into
this fantasy world. It's a world of where some people are embraced and
some are not.
Luciana is an embraced. She was sent away to protect her but her father return to get her because he needs her. Luciana has lived a shelter live. Her live was much different then her sisters. Luciana is kind and helpful.
Leo is also an embraced. He is know as the Beast of Benwick.
His touch can kill people. Luciana is to marry him. She's afraid of
him but slowly learns to trust him. I loved Leo and Luciana together.
There is a slow build of romance between the two. There is also a
mystery story goign on too because there are people that don't want Leo
and Luciana to marry. Overall this was a great read and I would
definitely read more in this series.
