Interview With Kel O'Connor!!
1) Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Most of my real-life career has been as a bookseller, which is dangerous
when you are an avid reader. Even when we owned a humor store, books
made up a third of the merchandise. I live in North Carolina where we
frequently have bears walk through our yard.
I love cats, coffee and wearing rude t-shirts.
2) Can you tell us a little about your books?
Broken
Bits is my debut novel. It is the first in a series, but it can be read
as a standalone title. Each book will focus on a different member of
Digital Acquisition Group. They do legitimate and black ops
work for the government.
3) Using one sentence, can you describe Broken Bits?
Two damaged people find themselves and each other while dodging men who want them dead.
4)If your book were made into a movie,
who do you picture playing Kit and Mick?
Mick looks very much like Richard Armitage. For Kit, I would pick Hayley Atwell. She
would need a wig, however!
5) What
inspires you to write?
The characters in my head refuse to leave me alone! They keep coming up with great ideas!
Seriously, writing keeps me grounded and gives me a creative outlet.
6) When
did you know you wanted to write a book?
I
remember writing picture books for my younger sisters growing up. It
just grew from there. The idea for Broken Bits hit me about 3 years ago.
7) Do
you have a favorite spot to write?
Sitting in bed has been my best spot so far!
8) Do you listen to music while you write?
I do! I love action movie and video game soundtracks while writing. I will listen to songs with
vocals to get into the right headspace before I write.
9) What is your favorite thing to do when you're not writing?
Reading or hanging out with my family and cats.
10) What
are writing projects are you currently working on?
I am working on the second book in this series (Amy's story) and also a romance set in Victorian England.

Broken Bits

However, that bliss is short-lived when Mick’s job again threatens Kit’s life and destroys their happiness.
This was an amazing book! So different from the predictable romance novels that are out there. This author is a breath of fresh air and a true talent. I can't wait to read anything else she writes!
