About Pembroke Sinclair:

Pembroke Sinclair is a literary jack of all trades, playing her hand at multiple genres. She has written an eclectic mix of fiction ranging from horror to sci-fi and even some westerns. Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming--the home of 56 nationalities--it is no wonder Pembroke ended up so creatively diverse. Her fascination with the notions of good and evil, demons and angels, and how the lines blur have inspired her writing. Pembroke lives in Laramie, Wyoming, with her husband, two spirited boys, a black lab named Ryder, and a rescue kitty named Alia, who happens to be the sweetest, most adorable kitty in the world! She cannot say no to dessert, orange soda, or cinnamon. She loves rats and tatts and rock and roll and wants to be an alien queen when she grows up. Interview With Pembroke Sinclair:

1. Can you tell us a little about your book?

Wucaii is a different sort of story. It's about a human-dragon hybrid who is trying to find her place in the universe. She doesn't quite fit with the dragons, and she certainly doesn't fit with the humans, but she can't let go of her emotions or her past. This book examines how she navigates her new role as a destroyer but still retains her humanity.

2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?

I'm not sure I can answer this question. I don't know that I really ever wanted to write a book, but I'm compelled to do so. I started writing in high school, but I didn't get my first book published until long after college. Since then, I just keep putting words onto the page and hope someone wants to read them.

3. How do you decide what genre to write in?

I actually write in a variety of genres from sci fi to fantasy to horror, and I write kids' books, young adult, and adult stories. Really, it just depends on the story that needs to be told. However, I think as I continue to write, I much prefer the young adult genre.

4. Which of your characters would you like to meet in person and why?

Wow. What a really good question. I feel like I already know my characters pretty well since I'm inside their heads they are inside mine. I'm not sure who I would want to meet in person because they are all amazing (and irritating) in their own ways.

5. Do you work with an outline, or just write?

I usually just write. I often have an idea of how a story is going to end, but the journey to get there is often a surprise.

6. Do you have a favorite spot to write?

Not really. I do it whenever and wherever I can.

7. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?

I usually have a glass of ice water next to me.

8. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?

Well, now that depends on what their preference is. If they're into zombies, they can check out Life After the Undead. If they like sci fi adventure, there's Coming from Nowhere, and for urban fantasy with a little bit of romance, there's Wucaii.

9. What are writing projects are you currently working on?

I have another young adult zombie novel with a publisher that will be coming out sometime in the future called "Humanity's Hope," and I am working on the sequel to that book.1.
