Hooked
Millie
Diamond is your typical high school senior. She has great parents, a
younger brother, and two best friends who round out her better than
average life. Her future is planned out, thanks to her police officer
father, who strictly enforces the rules with a firm, but loving hand.
Millie is a kind-hearted soul and proper daughter who respects her
dad’s authority…until she meets a mysterious new student who
stirs emotions in her she’s never felt before.
A drug deal gone bad in South Boston, leaves Cash Davis’ mother no choice but to move him to Tennessee. His life hasn’t been easy, but Cash is tough, and plans on making his future better than his past. Those plans include keeping his head down and finishing high school… but nothing ever comes easy for Cash. His connection with Millie surprises him, and as hard as he tries, he can’t stay away from her.

Millie’s
dad arresting him before their first date is definitely not ideal for
Cash, and it causes friction between Millie and her parents. Can
Millie convince her parents that Cash is the guy for her? Will she
still want to after secrets from his past are revealed?
Dream Girls Series
Dream
Girls: Piper (Book 1)
How
far would you go to achieve happiness? What if it meant letting go of
everything you'd once believed in?
Piper
Allen is looking to spread her wings and unfortunately, her podunk
hometown in Missouri is stunting her spiritual growth. Moving to
Dallas to finish up college with her two friends, Stephanie and
Nicole, she hopes to challenge herself to reach new heights. Her
bohemian ways allow her to float through relationships frequently and
with ease; when there are no strings attached, there is no chance of
being hurt.
Texas
rancher, Moye McKenzie, is a no nonsense, good ol' boy, who doesn't
play games where matters of the heart are concerned. When this
straight-shooter walks into Piper's life, sparks fly and tempers
flare. Wanting to give her the life she deserves, Moye has to show
her that getting hurt can happen whether you're holding onto the
reins or not.
If
she could just let go, Piper might be surprised to find she's
someone's dream girl.

Dream Girls: Stephanie
(#2)
Looking
to take that first responsible step into adulthood, Stephanie Garner
is working toward her college degree in secondary education while
serving drinks at a bar to pay the bills. As an ex-gymnast and
cheerleader, she might have guys falling at her feet, but she’s a
firm believer in monogamy. Even though she has options, serial dating
is not her thing.
Her best friend and roommate, the ever charismatic Cole Banks, likes to use his charming smile and silver tongue to his advantage. The more ladies the better; as long as Ms. Right Now doesn’t expect breakfast in the morning. It’s quantity over quality for this bachelor, until he realizes he wants more out of life. Starting a career he can be proud of is a step in the right direction to becoming the man he eventually wants to be.
The lines blur between these roommates almost daily—filled with stolen glances, cuddling, and front flips—but fear of losing their friendship holds both of them back from taking a chance on love. The path of least resistance is not only best for their precarious living arrangement, but for their friendship as well. If they’d just listen to their gut, maybe they’d discover the forever kind of love everyone dreams about.

Dream Girls: Nicole (#3)
Nicole
Garrett, a self-proclaimed nerd, has had her future planned out for
years. Taking chances has never appealed to her on any level, but
growing up means adapting to change and accepting that life moves on
no matter what. With her best friends, Piper and Stephanie both
starting families of their own, Nicole finds herself concentrating
harder on her plan to become a doctor, leaving little time for
anything else, other than working at the local pub to help cover her
living expenses. There is nothing worth more to her than making
something of herself—unless you count Corey Tate.
Corey Tate isn’t a self-proclaimed anything. He doesn’t care enough. But ask anyone who has ever been around him and they’ll tell you he’s a bad-boy-recluse, who has a somewhat short fuse. He works hard and plays harder. Even though he has no clue what is involved in having an authentic relationship with a woman, Nicole Garrett has him curious enough to consider trying. Having zero experience in relationships proves to be a challenge for him, both mentally and emotionally.
Timing is everything, right? How much time has to pass before the moment is lost? Two years of knowing glances, private talks, and a connection that surprises them both, come to a head when Corey draws a line in the sand. Can these two very different people find their way to a love that can last forever, or will their own flaws ruin what could have been? If Corey and Nicole could get out of their own heads, they might just find out the difference between falling in love and being in love.

Interview With Carrie Thomas:
- Can you tell us a little about your books? My young adult novel, Hooked was published by Blue Tulip Publishing, November of 2015. It is a sweet romance with a hint of mystery. I also have a new adult series that I just completed in February. The Dream Girls series follows three best friends as they move to Dallas, Texas. Each friend has her own book and is her journey into adulthood as she figures out who she is and who she wants to be. Of course, it wouldn’t be a romance without each of them finding love with a cowboy, a fireman, and a man who works with his hands. ;) They are in order: Dream Girls: Piper, Dream Girls: Stephanie, and Dream Girls: Nicole.
- Do you ever experience writer’s block? What do you do to overcome it? Sure! Typically, I’ll just walk away from it for a few. Sometimes, I read something else to take my mind off of what I’m doing. Other times, I just take some time away from anything book related and just go about my business at home. It’s helpful to keep reminding myself that writer’s block doesn’t last forever. The words and stories will come to me eventually. I’m too invested for it not to. I’m like everyone else when they read a story. I have to know the end and how each character gets there.
- Do you work with an outline, or just write?Cringing, I’ll admit that I just write. The reason I cringe when people ask me this is because if I were giving anyone else advice, I would say…Always have an outline! That way you can keep up with everything. Unfortunately, when I started writing, I didn’t know a whole lot about the writing world or techniques, so I still to this day, jot stuff down on napkins from my car while I’m at a red light, or very excitedly say to whomever I’m with in that moment, “Hey, don’t let me forget this!” My family does not love this.
- Do you have a favorite spot to write? For some reason, I’ve picked my recliner to do most of my writing. It’s just where I’m most comfortable.
- Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?Nope. I write at all times during the day. And night. Sometimes it’s water and a banana, sometimes it’s coffee and a bag of chips.
- Do you listen to music while you write?Yes! Almost always. I’ve had so much inspiration from lyrics. Words matter. I once wrote a whole book based off of one song and an interview from the artist. His heartbreak was evident in just a few words and a sad melody. It took my breath away and inspired me.
- If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?Hmm…I’m honestly really bad at these types of questions. I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t know a thing about Marvel or DC. I know, right? I have two sons. But, I think with where I’m at right this moment in my life, it would be to stop time. It seems to be flying past me and I don’t want it to.
- What are writing projects are you currently working on?I have a dark young adult novel releasing this year that I am super excited about. It is so different than anything I’ve ever written and I can’t wait for the reader’s reactions. I’m completely stoked for the feels that book is going to bring. I’m also working on a new adult novel, that will more than likely turn into a series, due out possibly at the end of the year. Of course, I have three or ten other things swirling around in my head too, but those two are the for sure releases this year.
