About B.B. Blaque:

I live the BDSM lifestyle, as a submissive, and have for many years, so when I write it comes from knowledge of the subject matter. I have also been involved, in some way, with bikers, and motorcycle clubs since I was a teenager. What I write doesn’t come from research; it comes from living the lifestyles and writing what I know.

I write beautifully flawed characters who ultimately find, perfection is not a prerequisite. Our flaws are what make us unique and some flaws complement each other better than others.

I love BDSM (Male dominant/female submissive.) There's something that just feels so right about a man wearing the pants (especially when he wears them well and fills them nicely.) I am interested in the psychological aspects of relationships in general and especially when there is a power-exchange dynamic.

My world would stop revolving if not for heavy rock music (and the wonderfully talented people who make it.) Music and it's makers will definitely be strongly visible in my work. I listen, I remember...I listen, I'm inspired...to write...to love...to fuck...to live.

I hope I will weave these things together in ways people will enjoy and connect with.

Interview With B.B. Blaque:

Can you tell us a little about your books?

I write BDSM/Romance/Erotica from a real life perspective. I am currently focusing on BDSM/M.C./Romance/Erotica since it’s what I live.

My stuff won’t be like other things in these genres for a couple of reasons. I live both the BDSM and M.C. lifestyles, so what I write is based in real life vs. what is typical or trying to write to “type.”

I’m secretly hoping to educate while I write. That’s sounds a bit more clandestine than I really mean. I hope to educate, make people think of something that isn’t what they’re used to, then, knowing it’s based on experience.

I also write strictly Master/slave which is different than Dominant/submissive. The Masters have control over everything—most especially themselves.

When did you know you wanted to write a book? 

I’d always wanted to write a book, but never felt compelled to do it until FSOG misrepresented the lifestyle I love.

Do you work with an outline, or just write? 

I have a rough outline in my head, but I tend to roll wherever the road goes. There are certain situations I want to write and then I weave those instances together. I know what needs to happen to bring the characters where I want them, they dictate the road we take.

Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day? 

I like to hit 1000 daily, but sometimes it’s more, others it’s less. Some days I just focus on my teasers/graphics (when words won’t come easily.)

Which book has been your favorite to write? 

The Masters M.C. #1-Property Of has been my favorite. Just the traveling around, to dive into the atmosphere of the book, made it amazing. I had no idea I loved nature as much as I do.

Do you have a favorite spot to write? 

The Masters’ compound, or outside somewhere.

Do you listen to music while you write? 

I use music to visualize what I write, but can’t write with music playing. I joked yesterday that the Masters M.C. #2-Beautiful Insanity, is being written by music. I had directions I expected to go and then heard songs, on two occasions so far, that made me see the scene, and write it, differently than I ever imagined.

If you had to go undercover, who would want to be? 

I think going undercover as a movie director would be bad ass! As I said, I’m very visual, and I write with visualization in mind. I also live for music…the super-cravings in me would be satisfied by directing movies.

What are you working on next?

I’m working furiously on The Masters M.C. #2-Beautiful Insanity. It will be beautifully dark, intense, and full of bikers, BDSM, sex and violence. I hope to be releasing for Fourth of July.

I’m also working on the final in my Not Even Death series, called Forever Your Master. I hope to release this by early May.
