My drug of choice was heroin.
Until they put me here against my will.
At the time it was my only viable choice.
I preferred stumbling through life numb to it all.
But now I’m here, and every sound and every emotion is heightened to a level I never knew existed.
Then somehow, in a moment of weakness it became all about him.
He makes me feel things I never thought possible.
I thought he was my antidote, but it turns out that he’s just my new drug of choice.

Review by Gia:
Wow, just wow.  This book was great.    Tegan is a herion addict and the author doesn't hold anything back.  We get the raw and gritty view of Tegan's journey through getting hooked on heroin and getting clean.  We go back and forth between the past and present.  I really liked that and the transitions between past and present were flawless, there was no confusion with switching between the two.
Tegan has had a trouble past, drugs became her way to forget the memories.  At rehab she meets Asher.  Asher isn't a patient.  He's a counselor.  Asher has been through a lot too, he's a recovering addict who has turned his life around.  He and Tegan bound pretty quickly.  He not judgmental and he's a very likable character.    They work closely together and feeling get involved.    Their relationship is kind of taboo because it a counselor patient relationship that is frowned upon.
I really enjoyed reading this one.  I was rooting for the characters relationship to make it and be something serious between them.     There's no cliffhanger but I really would love to read more about Tegan and Asher.
5 Amazeballs Stars!!!
