Review of Shades of Blue by Dana Tanaro Britt
REVIEW BY TABITHA:
I must say as a debut novel this one was all in all a really good read. I fell in love with Gabe immediately and was completely and totally in love with him by the very end. Both lead characters, Gabe and Charlie, have some baggage so to speak and are written in such a way that you really relate to them both. I also really loved the secondary characters and thought they added such a great element to the story. I love that the author makes the story about so much more than just a love story. She really adds a lot of depth to it and I really appreciate that. Above Gabe my favorite character was definitely Rory. She was such a huge bright light in every single page. I can't wait to read more from this author. I think she is definitely going to be one to keep an eye on. She is going to publish great books. My one and only complaint was that it took me a little longer to get hooked but once I was, there was no putting it down until I got to the very end. Great job Ms. Britt!!!
A copy was given in exchange for an honest review. This was a 4.25 AMAZEBALLS stars in my book.
