It Was Meant To Be by K.M. Lowe
Leela Park was a happy twenty-eight year old. She thought she had everything going for her, until a bombshell came crashing down on her life.

Leela was happily engaged to her partner Mark. He was a police constable at Strathclyde Police Force. When he went to work one day, he never expected it to be his last day on earth.

Leela had a hard time coming to terms with Marks death, because she recently found out that she was pregnant with his baby. More tragic obstacles in her way of grieving and she ends up in hospital fighting for her life.

Happier events unfold when Leela decides to take time off work to go travelling for the year. She never expected to travel, let alone end up in France. She was glad she did. Touring around France, made her settle down in Marseille. But what was in store for her there? What was going to happen when she bumped into an old face? Was everything going to go crashing down around her, or was it meant to be?

Author Bio

Kelly McMullen Lowe was born on 19th March 1986, to the proud parents of Christine Greenlees Beaumont Steedman and Hugh Patrick McMullen. My parents taught me the true value of life and they showed me how to succeed in life. I married my husband David Lowe, on 30th December 2006 and we have two wonderful children named Dylan and Tianna. Over the last couple of years I've been unwell and I put all my time into my family and books. I loved my nursing and caring career that I done up until I had my son in 2008, but now I'm settled into the writing world and I will continue to write the stories I love.

 Interview With KM Lowe:

1 -Can you tell us a little about your book?
My latest book 'It Was Meant To Be', was released in March. It is all based around one lady that loses her partner and unborn child. She has got a long roller-coaster ride in front of her, and she has got to make some changes in life. After she struggles to come to terms with the latest events, she decides that a fresh start is on the cards. She packs up and goes travelling to France. Never in a million years did she think that France would become her home. Never did she think that she would love another. But France gives her a second shot at life and she grasps it with both hands. Its a heart touching story that will touch many hearts.

2- Do you have a favorite character to write about?
I don't have a favourite character, because it doesn't matter what I'm writing, I get so engrossed with that character. Everyone that reads my books, all comment on the great bond they get with my characters. (That's all I hope for)

3- Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I love to write at night when my kids go to bed. I've got stuck in a routine and no matter what I'm doing, I have to write at night. I light a few candles and  transport to any location I want. :-)

4- Do you listen to music while you write?
I love music at any time of day, but when I'm starting my first draft, I always listen to music. However, when I'm at the editing stage, I tend to leave the music out.

5-What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
Random fact - Before writing, I done my training to work with elderly patients with dementia and people with brain injury.

6- When did you know you wanted to write a book?
This is a good question, because my teachers at school always told my parents that I would be a great writer one day. However, at that time I had other things that I wanted to do and writing wasn't one of them. I got married and had two beautiful kids, but while I was pregnant with my 2nd child, I became unwell. I had a Desmoid tumour growing in my abdominal wall and I've had many hospital admissions over the last five years. Three years ago, I had read so many books and I was so tired of reading the same story, just told by a different person. I picked up a pen and pad and started writing. I had never done writing since I left college, and I had no idea what I was doing. But I knew that I was going to publish this book (The Smile) and I was going to make it a trilogy.(The Beautiful Life Trilogy)

Book 1 - The Smile (Released May 2014)
Book 2 - The Smile - New Beginnings (Released December 2014)
Book 3 - The Smile - Forever After (Released August 2015)

My writing career started three years ago, but I finally published my first book in May 2014. I would never look back now.

7- What is your all-time favorite book?
I've read so many books that I've got hundreds of favourite books. I love Sylvia day, Lelsley Pearce and Kami Garcia, I could read their books all day. However since I've been writing, I've came to know a lot of great indie authors. I love Robin H Sopranno, her first novel was called A soul Mates Promise, and it was a great book. Mya O'Malley has some fabulous books out. The first book I came across was If you Believe. It was a great Christmas Romance that touched my heart. I then went on to read The Calm After The Storm. It was another great book by Mya. I could go on all day, but they are a few of the authors and books that have touched me lately.

8- Are you attending an book signing events this year?
I'm attending my first book signing in August. I'm so pleased to be attending The Silver City Signing in Aberdeen. It is close to home since I live in Scotland, and I'm looking forward to meet a few people that I've got speaking to through my books.

2016-2017 are going to be busy years for me, because I'm attending Liverpool, Essex, Dublin, Chester, Newcastle, and that's to name a few. I'm really looking forward to all of these great events.

9-What writing projects are you currently working on?
I've just finished my final book of my trilogy. It is going to my editor at the end of June. I'm looking forward to this release. However, my street team have backed me into a corner and got me to write a Christmas Novella for this series (I plan to bring that out on 1st December 2015). I just love the characters in The Smile, and I couldn't say NO. I've also got a couple of other projects up my sleeve, but nothing else planned for this year.
