Interview With Daniele Lanzarotta:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
My first series was the Imprinted Souls Series, which is a vampire series with a heavy focus on reincarnation, blood ties, and destiny. One of my characters from this series is a vampire-fallen angel hybrid who really sparked my interest in fallen angels. That is when I started writing the Academy of the Fallen Series.

The concept of the Academy of the Fallen is that with so many angels falling, there were very few angels left to protect the human world. The Academy is the place where they get a second chance, mostly by protecting haunted kids/teens from demons and ghosts.

And then, there is the Mermaid’s Curse, which takes place mostly in the human world. This trilogy is full of romance and drama!

2. Do you have a favorite character to write about?
I love writing about all of them and they are all so different, but if I absolutely have to pick one, it would be Nicholas from my vampire series. He is very sarcastic and fun to write about.

3. What has been your favorite series to write?
I feel like my favorite is whatever series I’m writing at the moment. *laughs* While writing the Imprinted Souls Series, I felt like that was my favorite and there would be no other like it. Then I started writing Academy of the Fallen and that became my favorite. The same happened... I felt like there was no way I would top that and then, I started working on the Mermaid’s Curse and fell in love with the characters and the story.

4. Would you rather have a ghost or a vampire as a friend?
Ghost… At least while I’m human. I wouldn’t want to have a friend who thought of me as dinner.

5. Do you have any odd writing habits?
I have to have both, music and the TV on.

6. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
Anywhere really. As long as the time is right, I can write anywhere. I really get into the story and after a while, I don’t even notice my surroundings.

7. Do you listen to music while you write?
Always. I’m not sure I could write without music.

8. What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
Hmmm I can be a little controlling when it comes to my work, which is the reason I decided to publish through an indie publisher.

9. Are you attending any author-signing event this year?
I will be at the UtopYA in Nashville, TN on June 18th and at Monster Fest in Chesapeake, VA on October 3rd.

10. What writing projects are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on a young adult novel called Sudden Hope.
