Noah shoved his hands in his pockets so he wouldn’t touch her without permission. “What’s your name?”
She straightened her posture, meeting his stare while folding her arms over her chest. “What’s yours?”  
Noah laughed out loud.
Well look at this. She has the balls to question me to my face?
He stepped closer to the woman who piqued his interest. “I like that you don’t scare easily. But I asked you first.”
Damn, she’s short. Her head just reached his shoulder. His gaze lowered to her open-toe gold shoes that showed off the cutest digits he’d ever seen. He appreciated that even in heels he towered over her. Her glare greeted him when he returned his attention back to her face.
“And I asked you second,” she countered with a hand on her hip. “We could play this all night, Mister.”
Noah’s gaze deliberately dropped from her tasty-looking lips down to her green dress with the cutout that flirted with her thick thighs. Noah slowly retraced his path up her body and conveyed his intent.
Oh yeah, I’m so fucking you tonight.
By the time their eyes connected again, Noah’s grin had split his face, revealing a set of deep dimples and gleaming white teeth. She failed miserably at making her small smile into a scowl. His grin disappeared when she took a step backward.
“Noah Adams.” The name you’ll be screaming later. He stretched his right hand out, hoping she’d be polite enough to shake. The feel of her hand would have to hold him until he got to the rest in his bed later.




Biography

Allyn Lesley writes real stories about real people. 

As a teen, Allyn lost herself in the pages of some of Romance’s heavyweights, trusting that a happy ever after was just around the corner. In Allyn’s own writing journey, as in life, she’s learned that people don’t always experience recovery and restoration after a fall. Her stories speak to the gritty side of life where the right choice isn't always easily identified and happiness not quickly gained.




Interview with Allyn Lesley: 
 
1) Can you tell us a little about your book? My debut novel will be categorized as a romantic suspense because it has a little action, drama, suspense and of course, love. It’s set in New York City and is based on two people whose paths shouldn’t have crossed and seemingly have nothing much in common.

2) Is Deeper part of a series?  I am laughing at this question because I had every intention to pen a stand-alone novel. But to answer your question, Deeper is book one of The Deeper Chronicles which will (hopefully) only have two novels.

3) How did you come up with your characters' names? I have to shout out a good friend of mine who’s also an author, Jessa Kaye, for helping me come up with Deeper’s hero and heroine’s names.

4) Can you tell us a little bit about Noah Adams and Avianna Linton? Noah is a man who doesn’t apologize for who or what he is. He’s a New Yorker who controls an import/export business. Avianna, or Avi, seeks a fresh start from a traumatic experience in Florida. She just got her teaching license and is doing the one job she was designed to do.

5) Do you have any “odd” writing habits? Would “odd” include procrastination, lack of outlining, eating Cheetos during writing sessions? lol. In all honesty, I’ve heard of some authors who need to have total quiet or a certain types of drink to write, not me. I can write in a crowd or by myself. What I do need is my laptop and internet connection lol. I’ve tried the pen and paper route and it was not Allyn, if that makes sense.

6) Do you listen to music while you write? Sometimes. It depends on how I’m feeling.

7) Do you work with an outline, or just write? *bangs head on desk* You’ve mentioned the dreaded ‘o’ word for me. Yuck … outline. That is such a huge struggle for me. I normally get a sense for the characters, how they look, a few things I want to happen to them then I open up Google Docs and begin writing. That is how I wrote Deeper. I will attempt to outline book two.

8) What's one random fact about yourself that you can share? One random fact is I was born on a Caribbean island BUT cannot swim.

9) What’s your favorite season? Summer, of course.

10) What project are you working on now? Completing self-editing of book one (before I hand over the manuscript to my editor) then begin writing book two of The Deeper Chronicles.
