Interview With Nikki Groom: 

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am a wife, mum, hairdresser and hopeless romantic. Last year, when an Idea for a book came to me, I was encouraged by friends to run with it. I did, and here I am!

2. Can you tell us a little about The Kingdom series? 

Holding Aces is book 1. It focuses around Arianna Fraser, who is running from a very troubled past. She’s a vulnerable character, broken, but certainly not weak. The story has a mysterious, and very sexy feel about it, and it’s great to lose yourself in! I’ve spent the last year with Arianna and the sexy casino owner Denham King (I love this man!), and let me tell you, it’s a great place to be!

High Stakes is the conclusion to their story, and will be released on the 24^th October. It’s fast paced, with just as much sexy as Holding Aces! 

 

3) In one sentence describe Holding Aces?

Sexy, fast paced, and romantic.
4) Do you have any odd writing habits?

Not that i’m aware of!
5) Do you having a favorite writing spot?

Yes, my office. I have everything spread out on my desk. Little notes, pictures, ideas. I also have a rocking chair in my lounge which has been the place I have written some great scenes.

6) When did you know you wanted to write a book? 

I was a blogger before I started writing. I never EVER dreamed I could, or would write a book, let alone publish it! I heard a song on the radio that triggered a scene in my head. Throughout that day, the scene morphed in to a detailed story, with very vivid characters. I asked an author friend of mine to write the story, she told me to do it myself! So, I did!

7) What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?

I can tie a cherry stalk with my tongue ;)

8) What's the last book you read?

Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley – Awesome book!
9) What is one thing you would like to learn to do?

I want to learn to play the drums. Or try to, anyway!!

I’d also love to learn another language and be fluent in it. French, or Italian maybe!

10) What project are you working on now?

I’ve just finished High Stakes (The Kingdom 2) so once that’s edited, I’ll start on one of the other stories I have floating around in my head. I want to spend a couple of weeks reading before I start writing something else. I don’t read anything while I’m writing, and I miss it madly!
