Review by Tabitha:
This book broke my heart right off the bat with Bailey (the heroine) attending her best friend's funeral. I truly felt everyone of Bailey's tears and nightmares as if they were my own. To get away from her not so supportive and for lack of a better word, witchy mother, and a very persistent ex that won't take no for an answer, she decides to go stay the summer with her father. She meets a couple of sexy bartenders who happen to be twins and a girl who becomes her friend and decides to go to college there. She is finally starting to feel something other than grief and is falling in love with Knox. Knox and Bailey are just like a real couple who have ups and downs with some really great chemistry and I instantly fell in love with Knox. And I am really, really loving Max and Paige. They are awesome. Overall, this book had a really great story and great flow to it. I was hooked from page 1 and couldn't wait to start book 2. The absolute only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because there is so much grammar and misspellings and such. I understand that since I received an ARC that it was not fully edited yet, but there were many sentences I had to read a few times to fully grasp what the author was saying. I do however, think that even with those issues this book is a really great read.

Taking Chances (Blackrock #2)
When life kicks you while you are down?
You get up and fight, fight like hell!
After struggling to put their pasts behind them and take a chance on each other, Knox and Bailey begin to move forward in their relationship.
But the past always has a way of catching up with you…….
On a trip back home to Grove for spring break, that’s just what happens to Bailey. Her past catches up with her, the sender of the dead roses reveals himself while making good on his threats. Sending Knox Porter into a place he never thought to be again…sitting in a graveyard, this time with the still body of the love of his life in his arms.
Join Bailey, Knox, Max and Paige as their lives evolve and change through out this book. Each dealing with their own difficulties and each finding solutions that will, either bring them closer together or tear them apart.
Review by Tabitha:
This book picks up right where Scarred Hearts leaves off. This one is just as full of up and down emotions as the first book. At times I was laughing and others I was crying and then there were times where I was fanning myself because the chemistry was off the charts. Knox is oh so yummy and well Max is no slouch either. Goodness my, I am in love!!! My only complaint as far as the story goes, is I was expecting something spectacular for the ending and I just felt like it fell flat for me. Other than that the story was great!! I can't wait to read more of the Blackrock series!!
