When I first read the blurb for this book and saw the cover, I was reminded of Jennifer Foor's Repair Me from her Kin series. As I began to read it, that assumption was quickly corrected.  

Cassandra Pierce has always been the good girl, doing what her parents told her to do. Even when she no longer felt like her own person.  She has no real relationship with her parents, and the only person she can talk to, her best friend, is hours away from her.  One night changes everything for Cassandra.  Feeling scared and helpless, Cassandra runs to her friend for guidance and ends up lost in a town in the opposite direction.  Enter Jason Bradley.

Jason Bradley is Cassandra's knight in shining armor.  He's sweet. He's genuine.  He's loyal. He's gorgeous. And he's immediately drawn to Cassie. He's the kind of guy every little girl dreams of. And Cassie is no different.  There is an immediate connection between them that neither can deny, but the secrets they are keeping keeps them from admitting it. 

This is where I can't tell you anymore about the story, because I would give away too many spoilers. But what I can tell you is that, for a debut novel, B.A. Wolfe wrote an amazing story with Cassie and Jase.  So, what I originally thought was more along the lines of a Foor book turned out to be more of a cross between Ruin, Stealing Harper, and The Edge of Never. It totally shocked me, and left me dying to know if there would be more in the future.

I'm not a crier when I read books. I get teary eyed, and I may sniffle. I get mad enough to throw my kindle/book. I may not even look at the book again for months. In fact, there is a book that made me so mad at the ending plot twist that I can't even think about reading the next book - and it's been two weeks since I've read it.  However, this book mad me really cry over the last few chapters and for an hour after I was done. B.A. Wolfe has an amazing way with words, and the way she wrote this story - it is nothing but a masterpiece. The ending is so beautifully written that you can not help but feel everything the characters feel.

After reading this book, I was desperate to know if there was going to be another book because so many things were left unresolved for my tastes. And thank you B.A. Wolfe for assuring me there will be a book two!  I can not wait to read what happens next for Cassie, and see what your writing will do to me when I read it!
