Dragon Heat (Dragon Heat #1)
by

I just finished reading Ella J. Phoenix's book,  Dragon Heat.  This is book one in her new Dragon Heat series.  This series begins with the Draconian demi-goddess, Zoricah, rescuing the Vampire Prince, Tardieh, from imprisonment by the Draconian people during a civil war over power. Neither one is sure if they can trust the other. But, let me tell you the amount of chemistry between and Tardieh and Zoricah makes you sit up and take notice - and they are interrupted before anything can come of it.

Two hundred years, and a time of peace later, finds Zoricah seeking out Tardieh's help in finding the missing daughter of a Draconian Senator, Deidre (who is a dragon twin, which is very rare and treasured)... and the chemistry is stronger than before.  Even though they both fight their feelings for one another and the trust issues they have keep coming to the surface, Tardieh and Zoricah finally give in to their feelings and come together....
Just as Zoricah and Tardieh find their way together, circumstances arise that have them separated in searching for the leading person behind Deidre's abduction as well as the massive abductions of females from all races. And this is where the book leaves you - wanting to know more!

I had to pre-conceptions when I fist started this book. I had never heard of it, but the blurb intrigued me. The parts that really loved in this book were about Sam, a human with powers that Zoricah rescued from a mental facility, and Hikuro, Tardieh's second in command and loyal protector. What can I say about them?  Not much is know about Sam and her history but you can see that she has suffered some great trauma that she is not fully recovered from. Hence, I want to know more! And, oh Hikuro..... That vampire.... SO MYSTERIOUSLY HOT!  Sam and Hikuro get off on the wrong foot and the chemistry they have...like fire!  I wanted to know more about them both and what was going to happen with them!!  It definitely made me want to read the next book to find out what happens next with all of them!
