Mia Miller

Book Info

Love on Hold is a standalone New Adult romance. A 200-page novel showcasing the sweet light side of falling in love. Set at Stanford, it tells the story of a young couple who meet over a wrong number. They set up simple rules: no names, no social media, no strings attached. Sounds simple? Maybe at first sight!

Blurb

We both put love on hold until now. How long will love wait for us?

Three-forty-five in the morning: unknown number calling.
Send the stranger on their way and go back to sleep, right? Except – his gruff voice made me think twice.

I was a small girl with big dreams. I juggled college, charity, and a job while dodging an annoying ex. Getting to know a guy? That was way down on my list. So I had every intention of ignoring sexy Joel Thomas when he woke me up.

But he wouldn’t let me. When did texting and calling turn into feelings? We kept our identities a secret and didn’t see each other. Yet, we fell in love.

Will our chemistry stand the test of reality?

Release day: April 26th

Love on Hold is available to preorder at 70% off until release day on iBooks, Kobo and B&N

Interview with Mia Miller

What inspires you to write?

I have a huge list of drafts and ideas that I am eager to share with the world. I’m inspired by small sights/ scenes that I see around me, that get me asking myself -’What if?’ or ‘What happens next?’ Songs or videos are a good source as well. I also draw from real life a little bit. There might be an essence of truth in Leonie and Joel’s story in Love on Hold.

When did you know you wanted to write a book?

In my teens, I used to write poems and short stories. Fueled by love, what else? Then, I just stuck to being a voracious reader. A few years back, I read a story that left a bitter taste - I wanted the turnaround for that hero to be completely different. So I joked that one day I will write a different kind of storyline and different kind of ending for him. I guess our subconscious only needs a spark to set new goals for us. Little by little, I started getting more preoccupied with jotting down book ideas and gathering info on self-publishing. So, here we are.

What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?

Unfortunately, I don’t exactly have ‘writing days’, because I am working full time. So writing gets time very early in the morning or very late at night. I also have a writing buddy with whom I work for a few hours straight during some weekends.

Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?

Water and a flat white or a latte are always nearby. I have a huge sweet tooth so if I have sweets nearby I will devour them, so I try to discipline myself in this regard. Not very successfully. You can bribe me with toffee and jellybeans :P

What are you working on?

I am writing my second New Adult romance, a standalone set in an artistic environment. I'm playing around with the ideas of soulmates and 'meant-to-be'. The book will launch during 2018 summer.

November  Debut Author
Aimee Noalane

No Regrets

If life ever taught me anything, it’s that nothing should be taken for granted.
One moment is all it takes to break a promise.
Friendship becomes love
One second is all it takes to end a life.
Love becomes pain
One distraction is all it took to change our destiny.
Pain becomes hate
One moment. One second. One distraction.
Hate becomes consuming
I’m in love with my best friend and that one second changed everything.

Interview With Aimee Noalane
  1. What inspires you to write?
I can’t explain where my ideas come from, but music plays a good part in my inspiration. The lyrics and the melody help me get into my emotions. I have different playlists depending on the type of scene I’m trying to write.
  1. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I didn’t, I never believed I had any talent for literature .When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I would get a kick out of writing erotic short stories, but nothing ever came out of it. I just stuck everything in a drawer, and never looked at them again.
The idea for No Regrets came one morning when I woke up from a vivid dream about Abby and Oliver. For two days I couldn’t stop thinking about them. They were in my head talking to each other, driving me insane with their incessant bickering. I had to make them stop, so I did what I thought would help; I took out a pencil, sheets of paper and wrote until they would shut up. I’m so happy they never did. Hahaha!
  1. What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?
Structure? Ha! That’s funny. Um, I have no structure at all. I have three kids of my own and foster two teenagers, so my job mainly consists of taking care of my family. Whatever time I have left, I sit in front of my computer and work on my book. I don’t have a schedule. I write when the ideas pop into my head, and I do it because it’s fun. I’m probably one of the most disorganized authors ever. Up until a month ago, I had never set a timeline for myself.
Today, things are different though. I need to learn how to separate my time between social media, promoting myself, looking at pictures, writing and editing. To be honest it’s not easy, but I’m learning.
  1. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
Inspiration hits me at the most bizarre places and the worst timing ever. It’s very common for my ideas to pop up while I’m in the bathroom, or while I’m driving. Unfortunately, I easily get lost in my thoughts and lose track of time when that happens. As for the writing itself, I don’t have a favorite spot. I can work at my office desk, the kitchen table or the living room sofa, to me there is no difference where I’m sitting as long as I have my headphones over my ears to maintain my concentration.
  1. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I’m working on two different projects right now. Writing my first draft of Transcending Regrets, book three of the No Regrets series, is my main focus. I am also working on a new romance standalone that I’m really excited about.
Since Living with Regrets will be coming back from my editor very soon, I will be setting both projects aside and work on the final edits in the next few days. If everything goes as planned, it will be out December 28.

Facing each other again is tough enough, but doing so in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers who thrive on critiquing their every move, proves not only difficult, but their own hellish version of reality is in the spotlight.

Interview With Raegan Matthews:

1) What inspires you to write?
Anything, really. Usually I hear characters talking or in the scene of a story, so I jot down the idea and see where it goes. Takes a few scenes and getting to know the characters personality before I consider writing them.

2) When did you know you wanted to write a book?
By the time I was twelve I knew I enjoyed writing.

3) What was the publishing process like for you?
So far, scary. But I've had people help hold my hand. Bloggers, authors, and those that helped put the book together.

4) What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?
I only write or work on book at all for about three hours a day. I read a lot and hang with my family
.

5) Do you listen to music while you write?
Never. I need silence. LOL

6) What are writing projects are you currently working on?
For the most part, I'm hanging around waiting for characters that want to talk to me.

There is a release party on the 20-22nd with loads of authors and bloggers:

A read along of Deadly Hunt from the 23rd:

Interview With K.L. Humphreys:
1) What inspires you to write?

That is a hard question. Inspiration can come from anywhere. Like a song can spark a scene in my head and I'll think oh that would be awesome for Sophia or oh that is definitely Nathan. My mum inspires me as she never let anything get her down. I was on a train and a story came into my head, it wasn't that great but little things like that. So yeah Inspiration can come from even the smallest things.

2) When did you know you wanted to write a book?

I had the idea of Deadly Hunt in my mind for years, I'm an avid reader, I literally always have a book in my hand, so wanting to write was something I always wanted to do but never had the courage. My boyfriend who knows all about my reading obsession told me to do it, I told him about the story in my head (I'm so glad he didn't think I had gone crazy when I told them the characters were in my head and wanted out.) and he immediately told me that I should write it. He gave me the courage to write.

3) What was the publishing process like for you?

I was really lucky and had an author whom I adore give me so much advice and encouragement. She laid out what was going to happen and gave me her thoughts on everything. Without her, the publishing process would have been really daunting. I'm self-publishing and Amazon are actually really easy to use. I'm really nervous now that Deadly Hunt is out there, but I'm happy with how everything turned out.
4) What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?

I don't really have a structure. I do like to go for a walk usually an hour maybe more, I find it helps me have a clearer mind going into writing. I'll start writing about 1pm and go through until about 8pm, depending on the day, I'll have a few breaks in between, I am easily distracted and Facebook is a major distraction for me. I really need a structure, I'm so bad at procrastinating.

5) Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?

Nothing too glamorous, I have to have a bottle of water near me when writing.

6) What are writing projects are you currently working on?

I'm currently writing book 2 in the Deadly Series. Deadly Obsession and a secret project that will be revealed at a later date :)
