age she has told anyone who would listen what she had thought up. Now, a mom of
two, she splits her time writing, playing with her kids, and of course, hiking,
hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in her beloved Bighorn Mountains.
While on maternity leave with her youngest, Brooke was
putting laundry away when she looked at a poem she had written in high school
that was framed in her son’s bedroom. That poem triggered the idea of My Cowboy
and soon she was sitting in front of her computer with her infant next to her
writing her first love story that wasn’t a fanfiction.

Can you tell us a little
about your books?
Each of my book series is different from the other. I’m not an
author who can stick to one sub-genre of romance. I have cowboy books; each is
a standalone that are different couples who are all linked in different ways.
When I say cowboy, I don’t mean the ‘yes, ma’am’ sort but more like the cowboys
I grew up around. Hard workers who are still just like everyone else.
My another one of my series is fighter romances, boxers. The
series is a duet and a novella and are so far from my cowboy books that I found
myself excited to do research on all of it.
My latest series is even more different. I wrote the trilogy from
the male perspective and it was a blast! I took the idea from all those
wonderful books out there where the woman helps heal a broken man, so why couldn’t
the roles be reversed?

What inspires you to
write?
My wild and random imagination. It’s hard to explain how an idea really comes
to me and it truly happens at random. I got one idea for a future book thinking
about blood, which turned into blood on a white collar and a woman mistaking it
for lipstick.

How many books have you
written? Which is your favorite?
Oh boy, I’ve published
nine books so far, ten the end of next month, but I’ve written well over twenty
so far. I can’t really pick my favorite. It’s like picking my favorite child,
which is something I would never do. I love them in their own way. Each of my
characters has a piece of me that makes the story so much more to me. But I can
answer which has been the most fun to write as of date, it would be my Moto X
books. They were a blast because I kind of let the part of me out that I
normally hold back through Axle.

Do you have a special
time to write or how is your day structured?
I write in the mornings, after I’ve worked out and went for a walk
with my kids and dog. Especially for the summer, I like to have my writing done
in the mornings so I am free in the afternoons to do something with my kids.
5.
Do you have a favorite
food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
I always have a glass of water, coffee, and green tea next to me
while a write.
6.
Do you have a favorite
spot to write?
I could write anywhere, but most of the time I’m at my desk in my
living room, since we don’t have an extra room to be my office, and write
there. My kids play and it is the perfect background noise, unless I’m writing
a heated scene.
7.
If you had a superpower,
what would it be?
I consider this a superpower but I’m not sure everyone would. In a show called
Dragon Ball Z there is a character who can split himself into multiples. I
would love to have that ability so I could get more writing done.
8.
What are writing
projects are you currently working on?
My current project is another Moto X book, but unlike the other
ones it is a different couple. It, like the others in the series, is being
written from the male point-of-view. Jax is different and I’m loving him. He is
bound to a wheelchair so I’ve really had to research on how he feels and what
he may or may not be able to do.
