Early Reviews:
*****Just when I thought I couldn't love a book more than Emma's Home (1st book in this series) I was wrong. I fell in love with this story even more. Wow, who wouldn't love a HOT fireman and the steamy sex scenes. Rob and Laurie are both strong characters that you would want to be friends with if Fairfield was a really existed. I will be waiting for the next installment of The Fairfield Series. ***** I found myself so drawn to the characters that I can not put the book down. Easy and addicting book about love, romance and sex. Speaking of romance...it is like Maryann knows what women are looking for in a man and brings it to life. You see how people can change because they want to be a better person for someone who is meant to be. Hurry up and read this book you will not be disappointed! *****This is the second book in the Fairfield series. I love the series and the author Maryann Jordan is amazing. Talk about HOT HOT HOT. I found myself taken in by the characters and feel like I know the people.

Review by Gia:
Laurie's Time is the second book in The Fairfield series.  I read and loved the first book in the series, Emma's Home.  I was excited to read this one and was not disappointed.
Laurie is Emma's niece so we learn about and meet Laurie in the first book Emma's home but in my opinion  Laurie's Time can be read as a standalone.  It truly is Laurie and Rob's story.
It's a great read.  We learn more about Laurie's parents.  Laurie's Mom has passed away and Laurie knows just very little about her father.  Laurie's  parent's story is kind of a sad story and make you think about how one little thing may have a huge impact.
Laurie meets Rob.   He had a bad reputation as a player.   Rob is determined to show Laurie that he is worth having a relationship with.  Laurie and Rob's relationship has a lot of bumps in the road to overcome.
Along the way, a medical issues arises for one of the characters.    For me, when a medical issues arises in a book and I'm not familiar with the medical issues it lessens my enjoyment of the book.  I was not familiar with the issues that is bought up in this book but Maryann Jordan does such a wonderful job explaining the issues and having the characters deal with the issues that it only made me love it more.
The is a great read with no cliffhanger.

Blog Tour for Ivy by Dahlia Donovan

Blurb:
Widowed photographer Ivy Langdon avoids people in general after her husband’s death. She ventures out days before Christmas for last minute gifts and stumbles into the middle of a terrorist attack in London.  Will her luck ever change?
Steven Samuels and his partner Gareth Richardson are called in with their company, Blackbird Security Firm, to rescue the hostages.  They never expected to find their perfect mate while saving the world.  The more the two wolves learn about Ivy, the more that they want to make her theirs.
Love is never simple or straight-forward and life is often stranger than fiction.
Ivy finds herself drawn into a strange world of shifters and human traffickers.
Can love’s true bite find her before trouble does?

Excerpt:
With Christmas right around the corner, Ivy reluctantly ventured out to pick up presents for her family and friends. She would have preferred to stay in her flat to watch re-runs of the Vicar of Dibley. She had been half-way through the holiday’s specials.
Squeezing between a group gathered outside Harvey Nichols, Ivy made her way into the store and rode the escalator to the second floor. She tuned out the couple in front of her who were arguing about what to purchase for their son. She tried to map out her shopping plans in her mind, hoping to save time and get her away from the happy shoppers as quickly as bloody possible.
As she stepped off the escalator, an explosion on the first floor rocked the entire building to its foundation. The lights overhead flickered several times as ceiling tiles fell and shattered on the ground in front of her. Ivy ducked her head quickly to avoid the dust and debris in the air.
Gunfire followed the explosion and sent everyone into a mass of swirling panic. A passing stranger in the fray knocked Ivy to the floor. Crawling through the swarming chaos to hide behind a nearby perfume counter, she noticed a cabinet large enough for her to squeeze her petite frame inside. She dove in and slid the door shut.
The shouts and screams seemed to continue forever, though her watch told her it had been ten minutes at most. Ivy turned her phone on silent and sent a quick text to a friend who had been in Alec’s unit. She didn’t dare place a call, but someone had to let the authorities know there were survivors in the store.
For now.
After several tense moments of waiting, Ivy pulled her phone back out to frantically check the news. It was impossible to know how long the cabinet would remain safe though moving didn’t seem like that good of an idea either. Her friend texted a response to say the police were on their way, and she should do her best to avoid detection.
Avoid detection.
Very bloody helpful.
She already knew that much. Alec had been a military man. They’d known each other long before University. He proposed during their second year there. Over four happy years of marriage. He had made sure to teach her the basics of self-defence and security awareness. Not for the first time in two years, Ivy missed him so much her heart ached.
Ivy sat in the cramped cupboard for close to an hour when she realised that she desperately needed the loo. Bugger. She couldn’t risk it, could she? The restrooms were directly across from where she was hiding.
Another ten minutes passed.
It was time to try to either run for the loo or piss herself. Deciding she didn’t relish sitting in her own urine (not very pleasant), she cautiously eased the door open and waited for any signs of the armed men. She didn’t know if the silence was comforting or terrifying.
Keeping low to the ground, Ivy crawled along the floor. It brought back memories of watching her husband when he had been training young recruits. She could hear his deep voice in her head describing the best and quietest way to low-crawl. She made it into the loo without being seen.
She finished her business as her mother liked to call it. The difficult decision now was whether to stay in the toilets or make her way back to the little cubbyhole. She glanced around the room with an assessing eye. If the terrorist bastards decided to come inside, there was nowhere to hide effectively from them.
Back to the cupboard.
Definitely.
Retracing her route across the floor seemed somehow more daunting as Ivy started to make her move. She was halfway to her cupboard when a strong hand grabbed the back of her coat and lifted her off the ground. His other hand clamped around her mouth to muffle the scream she’d been about to utter. He dragged her backwards into what appeared to be a staff locker room.
Bugger.
Oh, bloody hell.
The second he had her backed into the staff room, Ivy went from passive captive to violently struggling to escape. She had no intention of going without some sort of a fight. His hands pinned her arms to her side and crushed her back against his body.
She closed her eyes and waited for the knife or gunshot she knew was bound to come; the irony of dying two days before Christmas was not lost on her. She tried desperately not to fidget. She realized after a moment that she hadn’t actually felt a weapon at any point. In fact, the hands holding her while firm were also very gentle.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Ivy was surprised at how good the man smelled; he reminded her of dark chocolate and something exotically spicy. She told her mind and body to behave themselves. She would not lust over a perfect stranger who was probably about to murder her.
Why the hell hasn’t he done something yet?

Review by Guest Blogger Angela:
In Ivy, Donovan tells a wonderful story that automatically draws you in. The characters are well thought out and lovable. She brings a different twist to the alpha wolf world and it works. I loved all of the characters, and want to see more of them. Ivy isn't a helpless woman who constantly needs rescuing. She is smart, and isn't one to cover up when she is in danger from those who care about her. That in itself is refreshing!

IVY is about a young woman living in London who lost her husband three years ago to cancer. Ivy has shut herself off from the world, somewhat, and only takes a photography assignment when she needs the money. She ventures out right before Christmas to get the obligatory family presents when the store she is shopping in is attacked.

Enter two very attractive and capable men, Steven and Gareth, who are securing the building and find Ivy hiding in the building. Little does Ivy know that the two men are Alpha Wolves, and they have found her as their mate. Ivy has a strange sense of calm whenever they are near. With everything going on around them, she dismisses it as simply her being distraught with the attack.

Over the next few says, Ivy, Steven, and Gareth form a friendship that Ivy can not explain. She feels completely at home with both men, and they seem to be fine with that. Events relating to the security business Steven and Gareth run take place that have both men in overprotective mode over Ivy's safety. I don't want to tell you too much about the book, because you really need to read it for yourself. The only thing I would change is the length. I want MORE of Steven, Gareth, and Ivy! I hope there are more books with these characters!

Can Ivy come to terms with her place in Gareth and Steven's world? Can they make Ivy see that her place is with them? Will Ivy finally move on from the past and move forward with Gareth and Steven? As you know... I'll never tell! ;) ~A

Release Day Blitz for Autumn and Summer by Danielle Allen

~ Synopsis ~

Is it better to have loved and lost or to have never loved at all?

Sexy, successful and stylish, Autumn Jones believes in love. She believes in the all-consuming, mind blowing enormity of love. She believes in the euphoric state of loving and being loved. She believes in it because she’s had it once. And when it was lost, she was devastated, but she never stopped believing in the existence of love. Unwilling to settle, she learned from the past and moved on with the expectation that she’ll love again.

Beautiful, talented, and slightly jaded, Summer Wilson believes in sex. She believes in the all-consuming, mind blowing enormity of good sex. She believes that love exists, but Prince Charming does not. At least not for her. She’s seen the downside of love—insanity, heartbreak, infidelity, divorce—and she dates with the expectation that she won’t ever subject herself to that type of vulnerability. Instead, she chooses to love her family, her friends, and her work. And although she enjoys the company of men, her heart is hers and hers alone.

Best friends since elementary school, Autumn and Summer kick off the summer by embarking on a dating experiment. Unfortunately, expecting the unexpected doesn’t prepare them for what the dating world has in store.

Life is good!

I am a married event planner and life coach. My awesome friends and family and my amazing husband make my life sweet. I love to have fun and enjoy the life I’ve been blessed with. I love shopping and football with equal fervor. I’m an amateur movie critic (i.e. my husband and I watch and critique a lot of movies for fun). I love to read and I enjoy sharing my love of books with anyone who will listen. I love music. A good lyric with a good melody can paint a vivid picture and invoke such a range of emotions. I have a soft spot for most mediums of creative, artistic expression.
With degrees in psychology, human services, and marriage and family counseling, I have a unique perspective on life, love and the pursuit of happiness. As an author, I combine an active imagination and life experiences to create stories that are easily relatable and intentionally intriguing. I want to offer you a peek into someone else’s life and for you to get lost in their story, their trials, their triumphs. My ultimate goal is to create a character or a story that stays with you long after you’ve put the book down.
So in a nutshell: I plan. I teach. I read. I write. I watch. I critique. I shop. I play. I love.
To know me is to love me.

REVIEW:
If you are looking for a fluffy, sweet, easy read, this is not the book for you. However, I strongly suggest everyone put this book on their TBR list right now!! I started out not really into the book. I mean there was nothing wrong with it, I just thought oh it's gonna be an ok book. Man, was I WRONG!!! This book is amazing!! Hadley is written as a true survivor who has experienced more abuse and heartache than any one person should ever experience. She starts out being very closed off, doesn't do anything except work and go home. She stays closed up in her apartment and doesn't have any friends. Then, we see her slowly come out of her shell and really shine in large part to her coworker who becomes her best friend and then because of Miller. Miller is a self made millionaire and "playboy" if you will. Sounds typical I know, but he is not your typical hero. I can't go into too much detail without giving anything away, but this book had so many turns and ups and downs that I did not see coming. It was really a great book!! I had never heard of this author before I read this book, but I will be following her and keeping up with what she publishes for sure. You have definitely earned a new fan Ms. Bell!!! I am rating this book 5+ AMAZEBALLS stars!!!

I was gifted a copy in exchange of an honest review.
REVIEW BY TABITHA

Excerpt 1

Miss, are you coming?” Miller asked.
Hadley dragged her gaze from his neatly pressed trousers, stopping at his rugged and handsome face. Miller’s come-hither smile suggested he could make all of her fantasies come true. Not that she would ask him to.
She sought out the jagged scar that started in the middle of his chin and disappeared under his sharp jaw. It intrigued her. She had a similar one on her right cheek, faded and usually covered with foundation. His, thicker and more prominent, reflected a whisper of imperfection on an otherwise perfect male specimen. Only the stubble that typically shadowed his chin, hinted it bothered him. Hadley often wondered how he got it, but dared not ask. In truth, Hadley dared not speak to him, period.
Miss,” Miller repeated, “are you coming?”
 Am I coming?
Of course, Miller meant into the elevator with him, but Hadley interpreted it with an alternate meaning. His question rang out literally—the way Hadley dreamt about the previous night, Miller making her come until she begged him to make love to her. Her trembling thighs had woken her from the tantalizing dream.

Excerpt 2

Dear Ms. Walker,
I know exactly who you are. You’re the beautiful and intriguing young woman who shakes like a leaf when I get near you, but watches me with heated intensity every morning when I arrive to work as though you would like to undress me.
I’m pleased to learn the little voice in your head won out and you decided to mail your letter. Perhaps with distance between us, I won’t intimidate you, and we can get to know each other properly. I would very much like to know more about you.
I am receiving many letters, but let me put your mind at ease. I’m not opening any of them. I’m not interested in words from strangers that are obviously looking for ten tiny minutes of fame. Yours, however, spiked my curiosity. I wasn’t sure if it was the same Hadley Walker that brightens my mornings until I smelled the delicate perfume on the outside of the envelope, and knew with certainty it was you.
You would like to know what I miss the most about home. I’m a man. Your answer, Ms. Walker, is sex. I’m accustomed to having a woman in my bed. There are no women here, and it’s lonely. Would you be willing to keep me company? Fucking through words can be very erotic. Chances are, you squirmed in your seat, shocked by what I’ve written. Your panties are wet, and you’re reading the above sentence over again. Perhaps you’re cursing me, but it won’t stop you from reading on. You said you’re drawn to me, and I am rather enamored with you as well. There is nothing for you to be “curious” about. It’s purely sexual attraction that draws you to me and me to you. I’ve wanted to have you since the first time I saw you watching me. The other morning when your big doe eyes peered up at me, and you knew I’d caught you, I wanted to drag you into the elevator and fuck you until you screamed my name so loud, the entire building heard you. I’ve thought about nothing else since. I saw in your eyes that you wanted me to make you come right there in the building lobby. I’m hard thinking about it.
What do you say, Ms. Walker, would you care to have letter sex with me? When I’m free of this shit hole, I promise to deliver the real thing, and then you can determine if I’m still mesmerizing.
Regards,
Miller Genetti

Review by Tabitha

‘What about BDSM?  Are you going to teach me something about that?’
He looks at me over the rim of his glass.  ‘Why?  Are you interested in being a submissive?’
‘I don’t know.  I could be.  What is it?’
‘It’s a game.’
‘I like games.  Start me off and I’ll tell you if I like it.’
He stops smiling, his eyes change, darken.  Very deliberately he pushes his glass of orange juice to the middle of the table, reaches for the carton of milk and holding it right in front of him, slowly tips it sideways until the milk in it pours onto the table.  I watch the puddle grow on the table.  At some point well before the carton is empty he stops pouring.  I lift my eyes from the spill and look at him.  His eyes are expressionless, watchful.  The silence stretches.  I break it.  ‘Well?’
‘Clean it up,’ he says.
‘What?’
‘I don’t need to repeat myself, do I?  It is a punishable offense.’
For a moment I feel confused.  Was this the thing that has everybody hot up the collar?  Do I want to be his little slave?  The answer is obvious and immediate.  I don’t.  Definitely not.  But I’ll let it play a little more and see where this little game goes.  I turn towards the paper towels.
‘Not with the paper towel.’  His voice cracks like a whip.
I turn towards him slowly.   Our eyes clash, a look of impatience about his.  What does he want me to do?  Clean the table with my tongue?  The thought is unsexy, off-putting.  ‘With what, then?’
He leans back and folds his arms across his chest.  ‘With your sex.’
And suddenly I am wet.  The idea is shocking but incredibly, unbelievably erotic.  I hook my thumbs into the scrap of white lace around my hips, push it all the way down and step out of it.
‘Give them to me.’
I bend down to retrieve them and walk towards him.  I look into his eyes as I drop my bunched up knickers into his outstretched hand.  He puts them into his trouser pocket.
I hop onto the table with my legs apart so he can see what I am doing, I bend forward and flattening my thighs, slowly drag my sex across the liquid.  Something flashes in his eyes.  The milk is cold on my warm skin.  When I have swept myself across the spill I stop and look to him.
He nods slowly.  ‘You,’ he says, and there is a touch of admiration in his voice, ‘are an excellent pupil.  You never do more than what you are instructed to do.’
I say nothing.  Just hold myself in that position.
‘Now spread your legs,’ he orders.
